Jenny started working in insurance in 2001 as a receptionist for a local insurance company. She was quickly moved to customer service, where she assisted with customer requests, policy changes, and underwriting. By 2002, she was promoted to administrative assistance for the claims department and was responsible for opening new claims, assigning claims to adjusters, and issuing claims checks. Within two years, Jenny obtained her 6-20 license and was promoted to an in-house claims adjuster. She attended the Vale National Institute in Fort Worth, Texas to learn more about writing and processing estimates and once she returned from the course, began working in the field as an adjuster. In 2007, Jenny moved to Southern Financial Insurance Group for its grand opening. She obtained her 2-20 license and began working as an independent agent. Since she started at SFIG, Jenny has worked diligently on new business sales for personal lines customers, rounding accounts, maintaining a renewal book of business, agency procedures, marketing, accounting, and training.
Paula graduated in 1982 from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology with emphasis in corrections. Upon marrying her high school sweet heart in 1983, she moved from the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan to the Sunshine State, where she settled in Tallahassee.In 2003, after many years working in the banking industry as a litigation and recovery manager and an “at home mom” of three sons, Paula began her career in insurance at a small family owned agency as a commercial and personal lines processor. This agency was eventually sold and Paula took the opportunity to move to a large independent agency, where she specialized in commercial lines insurance and acquired her agent’s license, as well as two additional designations.As a result of her years working on the commercial side of the industry, Paula was recruited in 2012 by Southern Financial Insurance Group as a commercial account executive. Her goal for SFIG is to provide top quality service to their existing commercial clients, expand their operations in Georgia, South Carolina and Louisiana, and eventually expand into Alabama and Mississippi.
Terri Alexander is a Personal Account Manager at Southern Financial Insurance Group, specializing in Property, Auto, and Liability Insurance. Terri brings a long history of customer service to the agency, taking care of customers and seeing them through all their needs is a consistent goal of hers.For 14 years prior to joining the Southern Financial Team, she was a Manager/Sr. Tax Advisor/Administrator for a large tax preparation business in Tallahassee. She spent her time building relationships with clients, teaching and guiding associates to strive for success, and learned to excel in the art of multi-tasking on a daily basis. Always willing to seek new challenges, Terri stepped away from taxes and dove into learning the insurance industry. Shortly after joining the team, she achieved her 4-40 CPSR License and is looking forward to the next step in progressing her career of insurance. Terri lives by the saying, “Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.”
Jack's insurance career began in Tallahassee in 1987, when he was hired by MetLife as an agent. He led the local branch in sales for several years and was promoted to branch manager. Jack then worked for a local Nationwide agency as a compliance officer for their securities clients and was listed on Presidents Conference 8 years in a row. He is a fully licensed agent for property and casualty, life, and health and has the NASD Series 6 Registration to help complement all of his customer’s needs. Jack looks forward to continuing his career at SFIG, which has outstanding products and services. He grew up in the big town of Sneads, Florida and attended Chipola College before entering the insurance industry. He has two boys who loving playing ball. In Jack's spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Sandra’s insurance career began in 1995 working as a receptionist and then Auto Customer Service Representative for a Nationwide agent in Dunedin, Florida. In 1997, she obtained her 2-20 Property & Casualty License and moved on to an Independent Agency, where her career in the Independent world started. In 2000, she earned her Life, Health and Variable Annuity license and started working for another Independent Agency as their lead sales agent providing customers with auto, home and small commercial liability insurance. After getting her Insurance Instructor Certification in 2006, Sandra worked at Pasco Hernando College helping other prospective agents get their license for Property and Casualty, and Life and Health. In 2007, she started a three-year hiatus from insurance while taking care of her elderly mother. In 2010, she joined an Allstate Agency as their homeowner’s agent offering new homeowners policies to new clients and finding other insurance options for current clients who were being non-renewed. In 2011, Sandra was chosen to help grow a startup independent agency in Trinity, Florida, as their agent of record. After nearly 26 years, Sandra decided to leave the big city for Tallahassee and joined Southern Financial Insurance Group. She thinks of herself as an insurance educator for her customers rather than a sales agent. She wants to help them understand what they need to protect themselves. With her experience, she looks forward to helping the agency grow and being a valued member of the new community.
A native of The Magic City, Alondra’s insurance career began in 2003 as a receptionist for a small Miami agency. In 2004, she obtained a 4-40 Insurance License and began as a customer service representative. By 2009, she moved to underwriting for a large insurance company, obtaining her 2044 license. Moving to Tallahassee in 2016, she joined Southern Financial Insurance Group after a three-year pause where she focused on her family. Sandy Hennessy is a Personal Account Manager at Southern Financial Insurance Group, specializing in all lines of Business and Residential; Property, Auto and Liability Insurance. She brings to the agency a broad knowledge of people and businesses in the Tallahassee area. For the five years prior to joining the Southern Financial Team, Sandy managed a very successful property management company. She has twenty years of experience in residential and commercial real estate sales. Many of those years, achieving the Tallahassee Board of Realtors acclaimed top producer award. Sandy’s background offers the perfect complement to property and casualty insurance services. Well known in the community for her ethics, integrity, compassion and drive, Sandy believes in truly taking care of her clients and building long term relationships of trust, professionalism and friendship. Pamela’s insurance career began in 1988 working as a Personal and Commercial Lines CustomerService Representative for a small local insurance agency, writing and servicing accounts.In 2001, she made the change to a local large independent agency and worked there for seven years, managing a large book of commercial accounts. In 2005, Pamela obtained her 2-20 Property and Casualty Agents license. Pamela began working on self-insurance funds with a large corporate company in 2010. In 2013, she was given the opportunity to work on a book of commercial accounts focused on Banking and Healthcare clients. She joined the SFIG team in March 2017, and looks forward to being involved in the growth of a team-oriented agency.
Born and raised here in Tallahassee, Josh is a graduate of Florida State University where he studied Political Science and Business/Entrepreneurship. Prior to becoming an independent agent with Southern Financial Insurance Group, Josh started as an Account Manager for a local State Farm agent where he specialized in personal lines insurance. During his tenure with State Farm, Josh continued his education, obtaining his Florida 2-15 Health & Life Agent License as well as his Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty License. Passionate about serving his community, Josh looks forward to building relationships and setting a standard of trust and professionalism in the industry. Outside the office, Josh is an avid golfer who enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Teresa started working in the insurance industry with High Performance Insurance Agency in 2011. She began by assisting the agency through data entry processing and quickly realized how much she was enjoying my work, so decided to pursue a carrier in insurance. With the help of the wonderful agents she was working with, Teresa started learning and expanding her knowledge and was offered a position in customer service & office assistance.In January 2014, Southern Financial offered Teresa the opportunity to come on board and become a part of their team in the Orlando office. She started in customer service and shortly after was able to obtain her Florida Customer Service Representative 4-40 License. Being fluent in Spanish has given her the opportunity to reach out and assist many Spanish speaking customers from all over the state of Florida, but especially those in the Orlando area. Teresa strives daily to give the best she has to offer to the agency's clients through her excellent customer service skills.
